Send Files Over 50 GB: Camera Cards and Archives

A day’s shoot and a full camera card can total 50 GB. To send files over 50 GB, you need a package larger than the 50 GB one-time package. Don’t split the card across two links. We don’t reduce raw file sizes. The recipient downloads from the link and does not create an account.

Why do you need a different package to send files over 50 GB?

SendGB Exceed’s smaller package allows 50 GB. It costs €2.99. Although the title mentions 50 GB, this page covers transfers over 50 GB. They won’t fit in the 50 GB package. A 62 GB day’s shoot won’t fit.

The free 5 GB allowance isn’t even a tenth of this card’s size. Splitting it across ten links splits the editing job into ten parts. We don’t combine them.

The example above totals 62 GB: two long clips, audio, a photo archive, and shoot notes. It is one folder.

Raw files stay at their original size

A camera card’s value lies in the original footage. Converting it to a viewing copy before sending is a different kind of delivery. We don’t create that copy. MOV and WAV files download unchanged.

The specific requirements for raw footage are on the raw footage page. For a 20 GB editing folder, see files over 20 GB. To send large footage archives over 100 GB, see files over 100 GB.

One day or every week

Exceed 200 GB is enough for a single wedding or one day’s shoot. It costs €4.99. The code can be used once and is valid for 1 year. SendGB Exceed transfers stay available for 7 days. Recipients don’t need an account.

If you fill a card every week, Extra is more suitable. Depending on your package, the transfer limit goes up to 500 GB. Storage goes up to 1 TB. SendGB Extra keeps files for up to 1 year. Annual pricing starts at €29.90.

Check the file count on your card

Two long clips aren’t a problem. If you also copy thousands of short files and previews from the card, the 2,500-file limit will stop the transfer even if you stay within the size limit. Include the files needed for editing. Set the small previews aside. If you create a single ZIP, we don’t open it. Names are preserved when the entire folder is downloaded.

If you enter your email address, you get one notification when downloading starts. This notification does not confirm that the entire card has been downloaded. Don’t split footage over 50 GB.

How to send

  1. 1

Transfer a full camera card at once

Don’t split footage over 50 GB. Choose SendGB Exceed 200 GB for a one-time transfer. Use SendGB Extra if you shoot often. The 50 GB Exceed package isn’t enough for footage this size.

  2. 2

    Send the link

Send the single link to the editing team. Send the password separately from the link. If you enter your email address, you get one notification when downloading starts.

  3. 3

    The recipient downloads

The recipient downloads from the link and does not create an account. Raw files aren’t reduced in size. SendGB Exceed transfers stay available for 7 days. SendGB Extra keeps files for up to 1 year.

What happens to your file?

  • Raw video and audio aren’t recompressed. No color-processed file is created.
  • The 62 GB example is sent through one link with Exceed 200 GB.
  • Folder names are preserved when the download is complete.
  • If you enter your email address, you get one notification when downloading starts.

What we don’t do

  • Exceed 50 GB does not accept transfers over 50 GB.
  • We don’t create proxies or preview clips.
  • The transfer stops if you exceed the 2,500-file limit. Each frame counts as a separate file.
  • A download notification does not confirm that the entire card has been downloaded.

Frequently asked questions

Is the 50 GB Exceed package enough?

This page covers transfers over 50 GB. SendGB Exceed 50 GB lets you send up to 50 GB for €2.99. A 62 GB transfer won’t fit. Choose SendGB Exceed 200 GB for a one-time transfer. It costs €4.99.

How does the 200 GB package work?

No membership is required. The code can be used once and is valid for 1 year. The link stays available for 7 days. You can send up to 200 GB in a single transfer. A card over 200 GB won’t fit. You’ll need SendGB Exceed 1 TB for €9.99 or a suitable Extra package. Free transfers up to 250 MB stay available for up to 90 days. Free transfers over 250 MB stay available for 7 days.

Do you reduce raw file sizes?

No. MOV, raw video, and WAV files download unchanged. We don’t convert them to JPEG. We don’t adjust color. You create any preview clips separately. We don’t estimate file size in GB from footage duration.

What happens if I split the card in two?

The editor opens the project with an incomplete card. The recipient has to guess which part is missing. We don’t combine the parts. Send one link.

Can lots of short clips exceed the limit?

The file count can stop the transfer even if you stay within the size limit. Extra and Exceed have a limit of 2,500 files. A few long clips fit. Thousands of individual frames on a card can hit the file count limit. Leave small frame files out of the transfer or combine them into one archive. We don’t open the archive.

Can Extra handle this size?

Yes, depending on your package. The per-transfer limit goes up to 500 GB. Storage goes up to 1 TB. SendGB Extra keeps files for up to 1 year. Annual pricing starts at €29.90. If you send files this size every shooting day, Extra is more suitable. For a single day’s transfer, Exceed 200 GB is more suitable.

Should I use email or ship a physical drive?

Email stops at 25 MB. Files this size can’t be attachments. A physical drive is a separate option when your internet connection isn’t sufficient or the job exceeds 1 TB. A 62 GB transfer fits in one link. We don’t promise shipping times.

Why is a 20 GB editing project on a different page?

A 20 GB transfer fits within Exceed 50 GB. Anything over 50 GB does not. A raw camera card often exceeds that threshold. An editing folder and a camera card contain different sets of files.

Does a download notification mean the entire card has been downloaded?

No. If you enter your email address, you get one notification when downloading starts. With email delivery, you are notified once per recipient. With link delivery, you are notified once per transfer. This notification does not confirm that the entire clip has been downloaded.

Does 100 GB also fit in the 200 GB package?

Yes, transfers under 200 GB fit. A single file over 200 GB does not. That threshold is beyond the scope of the 100 GB page and requires the 1 TB package. No account is needed to download.
