SendGB

Send Files Over 10 GB in One Transfer

To send files over 10 GB, you need more than twice the free transfer limit. A short 4K video, a project folder, or a video with that day’s audio recordings can reach this size. Don’t split the files into two 5 GB parts. Send them with one link. The recipient downloads from the link and does not create an account.

Why not split a 10 GB file transfer into two free transfers?

The free limit is 5 GB. 10 GB looks like two 5 GB transfers. Don’t send it that way. The second part gets delayed, file names get mixed up, and the recipient ends up with an incomplete folder. We don’t reassemble the parts.

Many free tiers stop at 2 GB. 10 GB is five times that limit, too. You need a plan that supports this size.

SendGB Exceed 50 GBFits, €2.99, no subscription
SendGB ExtraFor frequent transfers, from €29.90

The example above totals 14 GB: a 4K promo, backup audio, color notes, a cover image, and a short note. All shared through one link.

How does a 4K video reach this size?

A short 4K video can exceed 10 GB when you add a WAV audio file. A feature-length video or a high bitrate increases the file size further. We don’t calculate file size from video length. What matters is the size of your exported file.

Video transfer rules are on the send large video files page. The 5 GB limit is explained on the files over 5 GB page.

One-time transfer or subscription?

If you only need to send 10 GB once, don’t buy an annual plan. SendGB Exceed 50 GB handles it for €2.99. The code can be used once. It is valid for 1 year. SendGB Exceed transfers stay available for 7 days.

If every project is 10 GB, SendGB Extra is a better fit. Depending on your plan, you can send up to 500 GB per transfer. Storage goes up to 1 TB. SendGB Extra keeps files for up to 1 year.

How to send

  1. 1

    Choose a plan

The free transfer limit isn’t enough for 10 GB. For a one-time transfer, SendGB Exceed 50 GB is enough. For frequent transfers, use SendGB Extra. Don’t split the file in two.

  2. 2

    Send the link

Send the single link to your editing team or client. Send the password separately from the link. If you enter your email address, you receive one notification when the download starts.

  3. 3

    The recipient downloads

The recipient downloads from the link and does not create an account. We don’t reduce the video’s size. SendGB Exceed transfers stay available for 7 days. SendGB Extra keeps files for up to 1 year.

What happens to your file?

  • The 4K file is not recompressed, and its resolution stays the same.
  • Both 10 GB and 40 GB can be sent with one link using SendGB Exceed 50 GB.
  • Audio and notes stay in the same transfer.
  • If you enter your email address, you receive one notification when the download starts.

What we don’t do

  • The free 5 GB limit isn’t enough for this size. We don’t split files into two parts or reassemble them.
  • We don’t give upload times in minutes. Upload speed depends on your internet connection.
  • There is no desktop app or email add-on.
  • A download notification does not confirm that the entire video has been downloaded.

Frequently asked questions

Can I send 10 GB for free?

No. The free limit is 5 GB. 10 GB is twice that. Don’t split it across two free links. We don’t reassemble the parts.

What is the smallest paid option?

For a one-time transfer, SendGB Exceed 50 GB. It costs €2.99. No subscription is required. The code can be used once and is valid for 1 year. SendGB Exceed transfers stay available for 7 days. 10 GB, 20 GB, and 40 GB fit within this plan. Anything over 50 GB does not. Free transfers up to 250 MB stay available for up to 90 days. Free transfers over 250 MB stay available for 7 days.

Do you compress 4K video?

No. We don’t change the resolution or audio. A 9 GB 4K file downloads as 9 GB. You create any smaller preview copy separately. We don’t promise a file size based on video length. Videos of the same length can have very different file sizes with different settings.

How long does the upload take?

We don’t give a time estimate. The same 10 GB takes less time on a fast connection and more time on a slow one. There is no desktop app. Transfers run in your browser. If you close the tab, the upload stops.

Will a 10 GB folder keep its structure?

Folder names are preserved when the entire transfer is downloaded. Files are not recompressed. The free file count limit does not apply here because the free size limit is already too low. SendGB Extra and SendGB Exceed support up to 2,500 files.

When does SendGB Extra make more sense?

When you send 10 GB every week. It starts at €29.90 per year. Depending on your plan, you can send up to 500 GB per transfer. Storage goes up to 1 TB. SendGB Extra keeps files for up to 1 year. An annual subscription is not required for a single 10 GB transfer.

Can I send this much by email or chat?

No. Gmail has a 25 MB attachment limit, and Outlook’s is about 20 MB. Chat apps either reject a file this size or compress it. There is no add-on. You paste the link yourself.

Does 20 GB also fit within SendGB Exceed 50 GB?

Yes. Anything under 50 GB fits within the same one-time plan. Details about 20 GB are on a separate page. Footage over 50 GB does not fit within that plan.

Does a download notification mean the entire video was downloaded?

No. If you enter your email address, you receive one notification when the download starts. With email delivery, you are notified once per recipient. With link delivery, you are notified once per transfer. It does not confirm that the download finished.

Does the recipient need an account?

No. No account is needed to download. The sender pays. The cover JPG may be displayed. The full 4K file does not play as a video on the page.
