SendGB

Send Files Over 100 MB Free Without Compression

You can send files over 100 MB even when they’re well beyond email attachment limits. A presentation, a small album, or a few PDFs can easily reach this size. Chat apps may compress the files. We don’t. Send up to 5 GB free without signing up. The recipient downloads from the link and does not create an account.

Why can’t I email files over 100 MB as attachments?

Many people consider 100 MB “a little large.” For email, it’s not just large. It’s impossible. Gmail stops at 25 MB. A 100 MB presentation is four times that limit. Splitting it across four messages won’t solve the problem. If one part is missing, the slides or album will be incomplete.

Compression in chat apps is harder to notice. The file may go through, but at a smaller size. The recipient may not notice. That copy won’t be sufficient for printing or editing.

The example above totals 240 MB: a launch presentation, product video, catalog, cover image, and speaker notes. Email can’t handle it. A free transfer can.

Share a presentation, album, and PDF with one link

At this size, you often aren’t sending one huge file. A presentation, a video, and a PDF add up. Put them all in the same transfer. Folder names are preserved when the recipient downloads the entire transfer. Clicking a single file does not recreate the folder structure.

We don’t embed fonts in your presentation. We don’t turn RAW files in your album into JPEGs. A 100 MB file doesn’t need converting. It needs to be sent without reducing its size to meet email attachment limits.

How much does compression help at this size?

Plain text gets smaller with compression. Videos in presentations and JPEGs in albums don’t shrink much. Reducing 100 MB to 20 MB to fit an attachment means degrading the file. We don’t apply that compression.

Interviews and large catalogs that reach 500 MB are the next size tier. Those are still free to send. See the files over 500 MB guide.

How close are you to the free limit?

100 MB is one-fiftieth of 5 GB. No sign-up is needed. The link stays available for up to 90 days. The file count limit is 500. A presentation and a handful of images won’t come close to that number.

If you enter your email address, you receive one notification when downloading starts. This does not confirm that the presentation was read or the album was printed. Don’t create an account for 100 MB. Send the link.

How to send

  1. 1

    Add your files

Put the presentation, video, and PDF in the same transfer. Don’t split them across separate emails. Even if the total exceeds 100 MB, you can send up to 5 GB free.

  2. 2

    Send the link

Paste the link into an email or message. Send the password separately from the link. If you enter your email address, you receive one notification when downloading starts.

  3. 3

    The recipient downloads

The recipient downloads from the link and does not create an account. The presentation does not open slide by slide on the page. They open the file on their own computer. This transfer is under 250 MB, so it stays available for up to 90 days. Free transfers over 250 MB stay available for 7 days.

What happens to your file?

  • Presentations, videos, and PDFs are not recompressed.
  • Multiple files share one link. You don’t split the album across separate messages.
  • Folder names are preserved when the entire transfer is downloaded.
  • If you enter your email address, you receive one notification when downloading starts.

What we don’t do

  • We don’t play presentations or convert PowerPoint or Keynote files.
  • We can’t restore a copy compressed by a chat app. Upload the original file.
  • Free transfers are not available if the total file size exceeds 5 GB.
  • A download notification does not mean the presentation was viewed.

Frequently asked questions

Can I email a 100 MB file?

No. Gmail does not accept attachments over 25 MB, and Outlook does not accept attachments over approximately 20 MB. A 100 MB file is four times Gmail’s attachment limit. Zipping most presentations won’t bring them below 25 MB either. Send a link.

Will the video in my presentation be affected?

No. We don’t alter the file. We don’t remove or compress embedded video. Linked video in the presentation depends on your folder structure. See the presentation guide for details.

Can I just send the album through chat?

A chat app may reduce photo size. A 100 MB collection reaches the recipient at a smaller size. Use a link for printing or archiving. The files stay at the size you selected.

How many files can I send?

You can send up to 500 files in a free transfer. A small album and a presentation won’t exceed that limit. Thousands of small files will. In that case, review the folder. How folders download is explained later on this page.

Can a PDF open on the download page?

PDF and JPG files can open on the page. PPTX files do not open as slides on the download page. The recipient downloads from the link and opens the presentation in their own program without creating an account.

Do I need SendGB Extra for 100 MB?

No. No sign-up is needed for transfers up to 5 GB. This example is under 250 MB, so it stays available for up to 90 days. Free transfers over 250 MB stay available for 7 days. SendGB Extra is for larger, more frequent transfers. It starts at €29.90 per year.

Should I split the files across four messages?

No. If a part is missing, the presentation won’t open. We don’t combine the parts. All the files share one link.

Can I send 500 MB the same way?

Yes. It’s still within the free limit. Interviews and large catalogs are covered in the files over 500 MB guide. The cutoff is 5 GB.

Does a download notification mean the presentation was viewed?

No. If you enter your email address, you receive one notification when downloading starts. With email delivery, you are notified once per recipient. With link delivery, you are notified once per transfer. This does not confirm that the presentation was opened.

How should I send the password?

You can password-protect the link. Don’t put the password next to the link in the same message. Send the password separately from the link.
